Kuialnytskyi National Nature Park

We build our lives from what the Earth gives us: from clay we make homes, from trees — we write, from metals — we craft tools. The Earth does not ask for gratitude, but it suffers when forgotten. It silently endures deforestation, pollution, and urban sprawl…

In Ukrainian traditions, the Earth is a living being, one that must not be harmed and with whom we must live in harmony. Mother Earth is not just a symbol — she represents a deep connection between humans and nature, the source of life and our protector.

This day is a reminder that we must care for the Earth. We must listen to her, see her beauty and her losses. It is also a call to remember the vanishing species, dried-up estuaries, burned steppes, and shrinking springs…

At Kuialnytskyi National Nature Park, we witness daily how alive and yet vulnerable nature truly is. We urge everyone to stand for its protection and help preserve this unique natural area.

On this day — and every day — be a friend to the planet, for we are all her children.
