The neglected snake’s head (also known as the mouse hyacinth) and the pale hyacinth are two small but fascinating plants closely related to the well-known garden hyacinth. Although these plants may seem modest and unassuming, they possess their own unique beauty.
Especially the mouse hyacinth, which during mass blooming becomes a true decoration of the slopes around Kuialnyk Estuary. Its bright blue-purple flowers create stunning colorful fields that draw attention and bring an atmosphere of springtime delicacy against the backdrop of the estuary’s landscapes.
Both of these plant species are rare for the Odesa region and are included in the list of regionally rare plants, making them even more valuable and important for preserving the natural wealth of our area. They not only impress with their beauty but also play a vital role in maintaining the biodiversity of Kuialnyk Estuary, where the living conditions for many plants and animals are unique and require special protection.
