On April 10, the formal signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation took place between Kuialnytskyi National Nature Park and the NGO “Education. Science. Development.” This step marked an important milestone in creating new opportunities for the park’s development and the preservation of the natural wealth of Kuialnyk Estuary.
Kuialnyk Estuary is not only a unique natural territory but also an important ecological site holding a special place in Ukraine’s natural heritage. The estuary has immense ecological, cultural, and historical significance, and its unique peloids (healing mud) and ecosystems require special protection and research.
The partnership’s goal is to unite efforts to preserve Kuialnyk Estuary and promote the sustainable development of Kuialnytskyi National Nature Park. Together, we will work on conserving this natural gem, improving approaches to its protection, and developing ecological tourism.
Key areas of cooperation include:
✅ Strengthening scientific research focused on the protection and restoration of the estuary’s ecosystem;
✅ Developing innovative approaches to managing protected areas, including those based on the latest studies of Kuialnyk Estuary;
✅ Expanding international cooperation and involving experts worldwide to study Kuialnyk’s unique ecosystems;
✅ Deepening the integration of education, science, and business to implement joint conservation projects aimed at regional development.
The signing of this Memorandum is an important step toward establishing cross-sector collaboration based on principles of sustainable development, modern scientific knowledge, and active civic engagement. Joint initiatives will contribute to preserving Ukraine’s natural heritage and enhancing the role of scientific institutions and public organizations in this process.
