In their interview, they spoke about important processes taking place in the Kuialnytskyi National Nature Park and the park’s role in preserving unique natural resources.
During the conversation, key issues concerning the park’s development were discussed, including the restoration of the Kuialnyk Estuary. It was explained that due to the estuary drying up and increasing salinity, maintaining the ecosystem has become more difficult. However, the national park team is actively working on solutions to restore the water balance and preserve the estuary’s therapeutic properties.
Special attention was given to climate change, which has led to a decrease in the volume of fresh water flowing into the estuary.
They also discussed the park’s recreational opportunities and the importance of developing tourism — particularly the creation of eco-trails and bicycle paths for visitors to ensure comfortable recreation that does not harm nature.
