Scientific and Technical advice

The Scientific and Technical Council of the Kuialnytskyi National Nature Park was established in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On the Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine,” the “Regulations on Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activities of Nature and Biosphere Reserves and National Nature Parks,” and the Regulations on the Kuialnytskyi National Nature Park.

It is a permanent collegial advisory body that addresses scientific and scientific-technical issues and participates in the management of the Park’s scientific, environmental education, recreational, and nature conservation activities.

[ Objectives ]

Objectives project

  1. Ensure the legal establishment of the “Kuialnyk Valley” cluster within the “Chumak Way” project as a foundation for further cooperation and development of creative, cultural, innovative, tourism, and other sectors within the agglomeration.
  2. Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the current state of the park and communities within the Kuialnyk agglomeration, including priorities, challenges, existing cultural and creative industries, opportunities for their development, as well as a preliminary plan for the organization of the park’s territory and its functional zoning.
  3. Identify promising directions for the development of the Kuialnyk agglomeration and the “Kuialnyk Valley” cluster within the “Chumak Way” project (as a driver of development) through research, discussions, events, and pilot initiatives aimed at building engagement with target audiences and creating conditions conducive to entrepreneurial development.
  4. Develop a conceptual vision and strategic goals for the development of the Kuialnyk agglomeration and the Park in particular, including a Development Plan and a Project for the Organization of its Territory; formulate a policy for the development of cultural and creative industries; identify competitive growth zones for the “Kuialnyk Valley” cluster within the “Chumak Way” project; and create a starter package of measures and projects.

Ingredients Scientific and Technical Council

Members of the Scientific and Technical Council are typically scientists, environmentalists, employees of government agencies and local authorities, and public figures with extensive experience in environmental protection.

The Scientific and Technical Council of the Kuialnytskyi National Nature Park includes representatives from:

  • I.I. Mechnikov Odessa National University
  • The Institute of Marine Biology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine
  • The Ukrainian Research Institute of Medical Rehabilitation and Balneology of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine
  • The Odessa Regional State (Military) Administration
  • The Odessa District Council
  • Civil society organizations
  • and others.
