Happy European Day of Parks!

Every year on May 24, we celebrate nature and culture — European Day of Parks. Established in 1999, the date was chosen to commemorate the creation of the first national park in Sweden on May 24, 1909.

This holiday aims to promote protected areas and support their vital work. Europe is home to over 300 national parks, while Ukraine has 56, and that number continues to grow. In accordance with the European biodiversity conservation program, Ukraine aims to increase its nature reserve fund to 30% of the country’s territory by 2030.

The primary goal of this day is to highlight the importance of green spaces and develop measures for their preservation. These objectives are deeply relevant for our Kuialnytskyi National Nature Park.

We invite everyone to join the park’s environmental initiatives. Your contribution helps preserve the unique environment of the Kuialnytskyi Estuary.
