As temperatures rise and dry, windy weather sets in, the fire hazard within the Kuialnytskyi National Nature Park increases. This poses a significant threat to natural ecosystems, particularly forests and other protected areas.
The primary causes of fires include the careless use of fire, trash burning, and the uncontrolled burning of dry grass and plant residue. Such actions can lead to large-scale wildfires and serious emergencies.
The staff of the Kuialnytskyi NNP urges citizens to strictly follow fire safety rules. When recreating outdoors, prioritize safety and avoid burning dry vegetation or waste on private plots, fields, or in the forest.
Fire Safety Rules in Forested Areas:

Do not light campfires in forests or shelterbelts, except in specially designated areas.

Do not smoke in the forest, and never discard unextinguished matches or cigarette butts.

Do not leave oily rags or materials soaked in gasoline or other flammable substances in the forest.

Burning grass and plant remains on forest fund lands or adjacent plots is strictly prohibited.

Vehicle restrictions: According to Ukrainian legislation, the use of mechanical vehicles within forest tracts of the nature reserve fund is prohibited, except on public roads.
Kuialnytskyi NNP continues to conduct preventive measures to protect forests from fires, including patrols and environmental education lectures for local residents and visitors.
