Collaboration with scientists
Kuialnytskyi NNP
Since its inception, Kuialnytskyi National Nature Park has established cooperation with research institutions, other protected areas, and educational organizations. This collaboration allows the involvement of specialists from various fields and the adoption of the best modern research approaches. Additionally, the park engages individual scientists interested in studying the natural complexes of Kuialnyk Estuary.
Main areas of collaboration include:
- Exchange of information, experience, and methodologies on biodiversity monitoring, conservation, and study of protected areas and the Emerald Network;
- Conducting joint scientific research, expeditions, and the development and implementation of scientific programs;
- Organizing joint roundtables, seminars, scientific-practical conferences, and other events;
- Preparing scientific, popular science, and other publications;
- Joint development and implementation of conservation projects.
The scientific curator of the park is Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University.
The university has many experts in biology, geography, and environmental science who can provide consultations and support in developing and carrying out scientific research and conservation measures. Students can undertake internships and practical training at Kuialnytskyi National Nature Park and complete theses and dissertations there.
All scientific research results are included in the park’s annual main scientific document — the “Chronicle of Nature” of Kuialnytskyi National Nature Park.
