Studying animal biodiversity and the ecology of specific species within the Kuialnytskyi National Nature Park (NNP) is a key task under the “Chronicles of Nature” program. In May 2025, the park hosted scientists conducting specialized arachnological research.
Nina Polchaninova, a renowned Ukrainian spider researcher from V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, and Olha Deli, a scientist from Odesa I.I. Mechnikov National University, surveyed various biotopes throughout the park. Working alongside our research department, they planned assessments of the arachnofauna’s species composition and distribution patterns.
Collaborative research involving diverse specialists allows for a comprehensive approach to the conservation and restoration of natural complexes. This partnership with leading Ukrainian universities will significantly advance the scientific and environmental activities of the Kuialnytskyi NNP.
