Staff from the Askania-Nova Biosphere Reserve, led by Director Viktor Shapoval, visited the Kuialnytskyi National Nature Park.
The delegation met with Kuialnytskyi NNP Director Oleksandr Shestun and the research department staff. The leaders and scientists discussed critical issues regarding protected area management, scientific research, and strategies for securing funding.
During a joint field mission, representatives from both institutions explored the slopes of the Kuialnytskyi Estuary. They surveyed the territory and discussed the challenges and developmental prospects of the conservation zone. The May landscapes, highlighted by blooming feather grass, left a lasting impression on the visitors.
With over 100 years of experience dedicated to preserving steppe ecosystems, the Askania-Nova Biosphere Reserve offers a wealth of knowledge. This expertise will serve as a reliable foundation for fruitful cooperation with the Kuialnytskyi NNP in developing effective approaches to protecting the park’s natural complexes.
